Tablet I received was packaged for the Ukraine market, model SM-T295NZKASEK. Package and docs were all in Cyrillic. The screen you see immediately after the first power up will also be in Cyrillic - on the left middle of this page is a 'drop arrow' - click on this arrow and you can scroll through the standard Android ' choose your language' menu. Select your language and everything is good from there on.Initial setup will ask you to set up a Samsung Account. Unless you especially want one of these, you can skip or defer this step. Initial setup will then set up a straight Android environment. There are some Samsung apps, but you can download Android equivalents from the Play Store and delete the Samsung versions. I am using the Samsung Messaging and Samsung Phone apps since they are pretty close to the hardware but I have downloaded Android Calculator (I'm more familiar with that), Android Calendar and I use a third-party file app and a third-party contacts app. The advertised 'Samsung Extras' hold no interest for me. You will find that some of the apps on this tablet can be removed and some can only be disabled. The SM-T295 tablet is also a full-function GSM phone. I use AT&T and I had to get a new nano SIM for the SM-T295. Turned out that the SM-T295 IMEI was not recognized by the AT&T order processing system, thus the system didn't want to complete the order for a new SIM. I ended up working with the AT&T retail store manager (kudos to him!) to obtain a new SIM and associated phone number using the IMEI of my Pixel phone. Once that SIM was activated, I could move it to the SM-T295 and boot to AT&T '4G' with no issues. If you already have a device with a nano SIM it might be easier to move that SIM to the SM-T295 and get a new SIM for your existing device, avoiding some of my issues. My T295 has been live on AT&T for more than a week now with no connectivity issues.'Software Information' for the tablet shows Android Security Patch Level of May 1, 2019. Samsung web site indicates I can expect Android updates every calendar quarter. I will be watching to see if I get updates even though I did not sign up for a Samsung Account. Not sure what to expect in that area.Update - On 7Sep19 the tablet indicated that an Android update was available. I accepted the update and, after a somewhat lengthly update process, I ended up with an Android security patch level of June 1, 2019. Not quite as current as my Pixel 2 phone but I did get an update, I didn't have to wait for AT&T to 'bless' the update, and I still haven't signed up for a Samsung Account. A positive outcome...I had a Samsung S10. This phone is much faster. When you touch a button, the function is there immediately. The glass runs all the way to the edge of the phone, which means you push things accidently. My Ottorbox case will be here tomorrow and resolve that issue. Get a case for your phone.I am a persistent Samsung customer I appreciate the quality of thier products and the consistency of their program designs (they are usually alike which makes for easy transition from phone to tablet etc). The tablet takes a sim card (not included), easy to use, decent battery life. Comes with a charger.Overall for the price its a decent tablet but could be a little faster. If I were purchasing again I'd probably splurge and get one faster/newer since I use it for gaming. But it runs games pretty well. The touchscreen doesn't always work properly. The screen will go black when I pause and rewind the sound will play with only the subtitles showing. The screen looks like it has sustained some previous damage prior to my unboxing it. The charger does not match the black tablet. A white cable and charger is what was placed in this box which leads me to assess that the damages to the screen were made by those who placed the tablet in a box with the opposite charger and cablePurchased an unlocked Samsung Tab A SM-T295 from Focus Camera.I Successfully activated it on a T-mobile $10 prepaid data plan and the tablet works great with this plan.My only hitch was that the tablet shipped with an European-style charger incompatible with my USA location. Contacted Focus Camera as to why I did not get an European to North American plug converter. The vendor responded immediately and shipped an universal adapter plug kit which goes over and beyond the minimal European to North American adapter requested.I can only say that Focus Camera has excellent service and ships a brand new sealed Samsung tablet that completely meets my needs and respond to customer inquiries responsibly and without hesitation. The tablet randomly changes time from standard time to military time, also some of the settings read in spanish although I have it set to english! Touch screen needs to be a little more sensitive, you have to push hard for selections.I bought this Samsung thinking it would be fast, good, have less bloatware that couldnt be uninstalled, unlike Amazon fire, which has uninstallable bloatware, but the cost didnt reflect any benefit in speed. The gyroscoping motor that turns the screen whenever you spin the tablet was very slow to react, often needing numerous attempts to making the screen spin. Then, the built in blue light filter was not very good. The amazon fire has bloatware, but it doesnt take up that much space. I couldnt figure out in the samsung what, with lack of bloatware, was taking up so many GBs of disk space in a 32 GB disk, since it was not a very powerful device. The Amazon fire is definitely more bang for your buck. It is a bit more commercial, but it feels better quality. Additionally, the warranty for this one was in Africa and I live in the USA. It lacked a US plug adaptor. I returned it.Cumplio con las expectativas y Fuciona con tarjeta de AT&T para tableta. Aunque no la uso pra llamadas, entiendo que tambien es muy funcional para hacerlo. Solo que requiere un cargo adicional del proveedor de servicio. Aunque es un poco pesada, con la funda para escritorio se maneja muy bien.I really liked the product..bought it for my son's online classes and he is super happy with the tab which makes me happy?I am in Canada, on Rogers, used my phone sim card, upgraded the micro SD card to 64, fired it up, and everything works perfectly.I still want to get the s pen version,I love the size, bigger than my cell phone, easier on my old eyes for YouTube and email.I am an older geek, so I don't use the phone too much,I highly recommend this vendor, no, I don't get paid.OverallGd..These are rock solid if you need a basic tablet for business or personal use.I wont day its super good. Cover is faded and with this prize can buy brand new
