Seems to be same material an thickness to the original part. it installed easily.I will see how well it wears.Perfect fit for my Samsung French Door Fridge. Pricey but could not find better deal for an OEM gasket.This gasket works great I subtract 1 * because of the price.The gasket itself is fine and in working order. However, when it arrived, it was very dirty and appeared to have been stepped on as there were several dirty footprints on the gasket. It also had some paper wrapped around it that was covered in tape that had melted a bit and left a sticky residue all over the area where the paper and tape were. It was very difficult to remove and is not something you want on your refrigerator gasket.fit perfect. super easy to install.Perfect
