I have now purchased 2 of these tablets for my husband. He liked the first one so much he wanted another a few months later. He uses one to watch television programs on via the DISH Anywhere app and the other to play games at the same time. For the price point, the quality of these Samsung tablets can't be beat. Set up is extremely simple and the screen is crisp and clear. There is plenty of memory to hold lots of apps and the extra SD card is a really nice bonus.Couldnt be happier.Time to lay down some IT wisdom:For those who are disappointed in not being able to use the SD card for your apps, do the following:Settings -> About Tablet -> Software informationClick repeatedly on "Build version" until you see a message that says, "You are now a developer". Go to Developer Options and scroll down until you see "Force allow apps on external." Turn it on. This forces your Android system to allow your apps to be installed or moved to your SD card.Now, review time:Thus far, I have had no issues with the tablet. Actually writing this review on it. The screen is responsive. Battery life is pretty good. System setup was like any other Android device I have had (simple and straightforward). The screen can be a little too sensitive at times when it comes to typing (that annoying blue line connecting letters). I have had no issues thus far with system slow downs, unexpected app closures, or random restarts.I had upgraded to this tablet from the regular Galaxy Tab A, which was having issues simply letting me get past the lock screen, as well as giving random app failures and a small host of other issues,Overall, the Galaxy Tab A7 has been a good purchase for me. A decent upgrade in quality, reliability, and performance.Galaxy tablets are excellentScreen cracked overnight. Vendor so far not accepting responsibility for defective product. Hoping this will get their attention. I recommend steering clear of this seller. Happy to remove this if they make good.I haven't used for 45 days and it won't charge. No return window on Amazon. BIG DISAPPOINTMENTI was looking for a device that gave me more viewable screen area than my Samsung Galaxy S8 phone, but was a bit more convenient to use than my laptop, and could be used to play DVD's. Saw this one, price was acceptable, and online reviews tended toward positive. So...ordered this, a case, and a portable DVD player. Shipping was mildly worrisome, but was able to determine shipping delay was most likely due to inclement weather. Arrived in good shape, battery was at 52% charge, so I plugged it in and configured it to use local WiFi. Other than normal "teething pains" (screen can be unusually sensitive at times, and almost unresponsive at others, tends to change based on whether my hands are wet or not) it does everything I ask of it. Plays DVD's (still working on getting past DRM) well, works nicely on social media. Only real issue is that a stock wall charger will take over 4 hours to bring the battery to full charge, and even with a 15 watt fast charger it's reported to take upwards of 3 hours to charge. That said, it'll handle 6+ hours of use on battery power alone, so a minor complaint at most. Overall, well pleased with the unit.I've been using Samsung phones for years, I'm a big fan. I like the operating system, the UI, etc. This tablet has of all that. And the screen is great, and the battery life is good. So, why only 3 stars?I expected this tablet to behave like my phone... snappy response, and easy to use.But this tablet is slow to respond... as if it's underpowered or something. Apps open slowly (even when nothing else it running), the UI is slow to respond. It feels like I'm using something from 15 years ago.I'm disappointed.Samsung es una marca reconocida por la calidad de sus productos como celulares, tablets, TVs, etc. Sin duda alguna, esta tablet es de las mejores que existen en el mercado actualmente. La calidad se siente desde que la tocas por primera vez. Si la tablet es para exteriores la de 8 pulgadas esta bien, si es para interiores la de 10 pulgadas ya que esta un poco mas pesada. Yo adquirí también una mica y una funda protectora.Funciona como debe ser. Sin probelmas de configuracion, excelenete tiempo de duracion de bateria. a la fecha sigue trabajando sin quejarse. Si su uso va a ser para ninos, obviamente haya que protejerla con algun case. Muy Buena calidad de SamsungMagnifico tenia un iPad Air, no me arrepiento este Samsung A7 funciona de maravilla si hubiera una tablet Samsung de 12 la compraría también sin pensarloYo la uso con un VCI para escaner automotriz, para navegar en youtube, ver peliculas en netflix y el rendimiento y potencia es excelente, el sonido espectacular con sus 4 bocinas, excelente diseño, en general lo mejor que puedes comprar en relacion precio calidad.
